INN POLICY ∕ HOUSE RULES
CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES
Check-in time is 3:00 pm and anytime after (please inform the front desk if you plan to arrive later than 10:00 pm). Check-out time is 11:00 am.
CONTACTLESS CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT
We do contactless check-in and check-out by email and text messages using digital keycodes for room entry.
We require a one night deposit per room at the time of booking. Deposits are credited to the last night of your reservation, balance is due on arrival. No refunds for shortened stays. Additional deposits may be required for holidays or special events, extended stays and group reservations. (Excludes October reservations) please see October policies below.
If reservations are cancelled more than 24 hours prior to arrival date, deposit will be returned less a $15 service charge per room. Reservations cancelled within 24 hours of arrival date will result in the loss of the deposit. Prices include the curret 11.7% hotel-motel state and local taxes. (Excludes October reservations) please see October policies below.
MINIMUM STAY POLICIES
We require a 2 night minimum stay for Saturdays May through September. We require a 3 night minimum stay for holiday weekends.
ROLLAWAY / CRIB
We do provide rollaways and cribs upon request and are subject to availability. Rollaways are allowed in the Captain West House only. Cribs are allowed at the Captain West house and the Peabody House only.
We allow pets in our Captain West House only by prior arrangement. There is an additional fee per pet. The fee is $20 per pet, per night all year except during the month of October. See October policies below. Maximum 2 pets per room. Pet fees are non-refundable.
The Salem Inn is a smoke-free establishment. This includes smoke of any kind. If you or your visitor smokes in your room the Inn will be forced to overhaul and deodorize the room. A cleaning surcharge or $250 per day will be charged to your credit card.
We provide one parking spot per room. It depends on which house you will be staying in as to where you will be parking. You will receive your parking details on the day of arrival with your check-in information.
Please note that our fireplaces are operational November through April only.
We require a 3 night minimum stay for all weekends and on Halloween. No minimum night stays required Monday through Thursday. Pet fees are $30 per pet, per night. Maximum 2 pets per room. Pet fees are non-refundable.
OCTOBER GUARANTEE POLICIES
We require a 3 night deposit per room at the time of booking for weekend and Halloween stays. We require a 1 night deposit per room at the time of booking for weekday stays. No refunds for shortened stays. Balances are due on arrival.
OCTOBER CANCELLATION POLICIES
Weekend and Halloween stays: If reservations are cancelled before September 14, 2021 deposit will be refunded less a service fee equal to 1 night stay. Cancellations made after September 14, 2021 will result in loss of the entire 3 night deposit.
Mid-week Stay: If reservations are cancelled before September 14, 2021 deposit will be refunded less a service fee of $25. Cancellations made after September 14, 2021 will result in loss of the full 1 night deposit.
We recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect yourself should you need to cancel your trip. We would be happy to provide you with anything you may need from us to insure your trip.
